Dear Collegues and Friends,
Alex Boulingui and family were resettled in Greensboro on October 25th, 2012 as a refugee from the Democratic Republic of Congo. On February 18th, 2013 Alex was hospitalized for an unknown illness and subsequently passed away on the evening of February 22nd, 2013. His five year old son, Alex Jr., was hospitalized the week prior and Betty, the mother, currently is commuting between UNC-CH and Greensboro. Their two other children, Rock and Horzie, currently attend Newcomers School in Greensboro. This family is in dire need of assistance in covering funeral expenses. Alex, a former music teacher from DRC, had just began working when he became ill. At this time they have no way to support themselves financially. Please consider providing this family with hope during this time of great loss. We have set up a fund raising site for the family to help them cover the funeral expenses and support the family. http://www.giveforward.com/supporttheboulinguifalmily . Please help us raise the fund by forwarding the link to your family and friends. Thank you for your kind help.
Sincerely,
Million Mekonnen
