2021 Diversity In Language And Culture Annual Conference
The Diversity in Language and Culture Conference brings together educators, students, faculty, staff and other community members to explore issues that are relevant and pressing related to education. Each year we explore a different theme with a keynote speaker and breakout sessions.
The theme of the 3rd annual Diversity in Language and Culture Conference is Mentorship Matters in Education. We seek to explore the myriad of ways that mentorship impacts the lives of those in educational settings. Whether you are the mentor or the mentee, mentorship can provide valuable opportunities for shared learning, deep engagement, and academic and professional success, often leading to transformative life experiences overall. Join us as we engage in these important discussions and reflection about the power of mentoring relationships in education, and the impact these connections, including teacher-student, peer-to-peer, student-community member, etc., can have on diverse language communities in our K-12 schools, colleges, universities, and beyond.
